Smocked Dress Sewing Pattern For 18 Inch Doll. Lined Square Yoke Bodice And Back Snap Opening.

This is a great pattern to use up scraps of fabric or fat quarters.

This pattern includes the design for the smocked panel. The design is worked over 60 pleats.

A cute little classic dress with a fully lined bodice. Sew the bodice with a contrasting fabric or the same as the skirt. Suggested Fabrics: Quilting cotton, Eyelet, Chambray, Gingham, Linen. Additional fabric may be required to match stripes, plaids, or one-way design fabric. Some sewing experience is required to complete this project. You also need to know how to block the smocking. You can use a tool to set snaps or if you prefer to add buttonholes, Velcro, sew on snaps or snap tape, you can do so. Add some more detail by sewing some Ric rac or piping to the hemline.

A desktop or laptop computer is required in order to save and print this pattern. DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR PRINT FROM A PHONE OR TABLET. A PDF reader, such as Adobe Reader, is required to view and print the files. A printer is required to print the pattern pages. Print at 100%. Make sure that the test square matches the measurements indicated on the pattern. You will download two files. One has the pattern to print at home on A4 or Letter paper (4 pages). The other file has the instructions with illustrations (5 pages). There is also the option for large format printing which does not require piecing together.
