A cute little pattern for an experienced beginner. Omit the ruffles if you wish to make it a unisex pattern.
The centre panel is created by hand manipulating stitches to twists and rib.
The (optional) ruffles are knitted separately on the machine or by hand and then joined to the top of the sleeve later.
The front and back necklines are shaped using short row shaping.
The neckline is worked after one shoulder is joined.
Knit it one colour or use variegated yarn.
Tension:
22 sts x 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) Using DK Yarn.
Skills required:
E wrap cast on, Transform stitches, Bind off, transfer, decrease, increase, hand manipulate stitches, short row shaping.
This project was knitted on a LK150 using Double Knitting 100% acrylic. Any Mid gauge knitting machine can be used but be sure to check the gauge before you begin.
1x1 rib is used for body of this pattern. The ribbing stitches were hand manipulated. If your machine has a ribber attachment, the ribbing can be made automatically. Hand knitting the ribbing is also an option.
